As the title states, this is quick update to let you know what’s been going on in MJ Studies Land. Firstly, the newest episode of the podcast, Michael Jackson’s Dream Lives On: An Academic Conversation is live. This is my favourite episode so far, and in it we discuss in great detail what it is, where it came from, who’s researching and why.
Also, the new post of my monthly column, MJ Studies Today is live here. In this issue I discuss absolutely everything – from the recent news that the white actor Joseph Fiennes, was cast as Michael Jackson to the Journal of Michael Jackson Academic Studies editors featuring on Dancing With the Elephant for the first time.
In very exciting news, both the MJAS and The Dangerous Philosophies of Michael Jackson: His Music, His Persona, and His Artistic Afterlife was mentioned (02:19:00) on the MJCast‘s latest episode, the first of their new season. This episode featured a really in-depth analysis of the Serova vs. Cascio case as presented by journalist, Charlie Thomson.
Wishing you a happy February,
